It depends which way you get it. The ready-made kit (NZD $250) is the finished kit as a download, with a set-up guide for Mac and Windows. The step-by-step guide (NZD $150) shows you how to build your own. The kit with a lesson (NZD $795) is the kit set up for your brand colours, fonts and logo, a two-hour lesson with me where you make your first real video (in Auckland, or online), a how-to video to keep, and a 30-minute check-in afterwards. All three run on Claude, so you need your own Claude Pro plan, about NZD $40 a month.

You need some confidence, but not much. The ready-made kit is designed for beginner to medium technical skills: if you can install an app and find a file in a folder, it walks you through the rest, one step at a time. If you would rather not do the set-up yourself, choose the kit with a lesson: I set it up for you and we make your first video together. The step-by-step guide is for people comfortable with technical set-up.

No. The kit works from a voice memo, so nothing has to be filmed. If you want to be seen, you can film a quick clip on your phone instead. A voice twin, step 2, needs no camera either. A digital twin, step 3, needs one filming session with me, and then no more filming.

No. Talk the way you would to a client, and ramble if you need to. The kit trims the pauses and keeps the clearest lines. Or, if having a script makes you feel more confident, ramble to the kit first. It already knows your business, so it turns what you say into a short script in your own words. Then you just say it. Recording takes a few minutes: you talk into your phone. The kit then turns it into a concise message and adds your brand, graphics and your own B-roll and music. The finished video usually comes back within about ten minutes.

There are three ways to get it, each paid once. The kit with a lesson is NZD $795: I set it up and teach you in person, with a how-to video and a check-in. The ready-made kit is NZD $250: a download that walks you through set-up yourself. The step-by-step guide is NZD $150, to build your own. After that, the only ongoing cost is your own Claude Pro plan, about NZD $40 a month, however many videos you make.

Only if you want one. For the kit with a lesson, I update yours for NZD $350: I work on your kit myself and test it before it goes back to you. For the ready-made kit, the new version is NZD $125. I recommend updating about every six months. AI tools move fast, and each update brings new features and keeps your kit running smoothly with the latest Claude, Windows and Mac. Your kit keeps working without them.

No, the kit makes them. You talk into your phone and the kit edits it into a finished video, so you can make one whenever you need it, without waiting on anyone. That is true whichever way you get the kit. That independence is the whole idea.

Claude is an AI tool made by Anthropic. The kit runs on it, which is why you need your own Claude Pro plan, about NZD $40 a month. Claude can do a lot more than make videos. Ask me about that too.

Yes. The kit works on a Mac or a Windows computer. Tell me which you have when you book, and I will set it up for that.

Yes. The videos you make are yours to use for your business. Your Claude plan is in your own name, and Claude's terms give you the rights to what it makes for you. The kit does not come with music or footage. Add a track or B-roll you own or are licensed to use.

Yes. One kit works for your whole team. Each person who uses it needs their own Claude plan. The price includes the lesson for one person. If you would like me to teach more of your team, that is Team Training, from NZD $1,500.

Your recording stays on your computer. The kit turns it into text there, and only the text goes to Claude to choose the clearest lines. In your Claude settings you can choose whether your chats can be used to improve Claude.

Yes. The ready-made kit and the step-by-step guide are downloads, so they work anywhere. The kit with a lesson can be in person in Auckland or online.

Yes. Portrait or landscape, whichever fits where you are posting.

Yes. Your twin reflects exactly how you come across on the day of filming, so a big part of my job is helping you find a natural, comfortable way to present before we start recording. Almost everyone feels some nerves walking in, which is completely normal, and coaching is built into every session for exactly that reason. If you talk like you're presenting, your twin sounds like that; if you talk like you're reading a story to your kids, that's what comes through instead, so we work together to find the tone that sounds like you. In most cases, it looks and sounds genuinely real. Occasionally a mannerism gets slightly exaggerated, and an eye roll might roll a touch more than usual, but that's a small quirk, not something to worry about.

About two hours in total: half an hour to record your voice, and about an hour and a half of filming. It can take a bit longer if you film in more outfits, or need more coaching in front of the camera. Some people get comfortable quickly, others need more time. Both are completely fine. I coach for as long as it takes to get a result you're happy with.

Full pricing is on the Services & Pricing page. A voice twin is NZD $1,000, and you hold your own voice-platform subscription. A digital twin is NZD $2,500. On top of that, you hold your own subscriptions to the video and voice platforms your twin runs on, currently around NZD $80 to $150 a month combined, depending on the plans you choose. They are billed in USD, so the exact number moves with the exchange rate.

It depends on where you're using it. There's no general law in New Zealand requiring disclosure, and on your own website there's no requirement at all. Some platforms do require you to label AI-generated content under their own rules, so it's worth checking the specific platform you're posting to. Either way, I always recommend disclosing, with a small title card at the start of the video, around five seconds, noting it's a digital twin. Skipping it entirely risks the trust people have in your business.

No. In engineering, manufacturing and healthcare, a digital twin is a simulation of a physical system, like a virtual model of a machine or a patient. What I build is an AI video digital twin: an AI version of you, used to make marketing and communication content. Most people call it AI avatar video. Same term, different field.

If you're naturally excellent on camera and already have the time in your schedule to film content regularly, nailing a script in one take, you may not need a twin as much. That's a small group. Most people don't get it right the first take and don't have the spare time, which is exactly the gap a digital twin fills.

You can build a digital twin yourself with tools like HeyGen, and for some people that's a fine starting point. But getting the lighting, angles and audio right takes a lot of trial and error. I've put thousands of hours into that already so you don't have to. I'm also a working photographer and videographer with a marketing background, which means more technical knowledge of lighting and colour than a typical agency, plus the strategy side. As far as I'm aware, I'm currently the only person in New Zealand creating digital twins specifically for individuals. The other digital twin work happening here is for advertising campaigns, not personal or professional use. If budget or distance means DIY is your only realistic option, go for it. Just know there will be a quality difference.
