What I use Claude for when I build a digital twin video

People assume the AI part of a digital twin video is the twin itself, the face and voice on screen. That's only half of it. The other half, the part nobody asks about, is everything that happens between the raw footage coming back from the twin and a finished video going out: captions, graphics, timing, music, the whole edit.

That's the part I now do with Claude, Anthropic's AI tool, running as a coding assistant rather than a chat window. It's the difference between a twin video that looks like a rough draft and one that looks finished.

What normally makes this slow

A polished long-form video, the kind with captions timed to the exact word, graphic cards that match your brand, a title card, a clean audio mix, normally means a video editor and several rounds of revisions. That's real time and real cost, and it's the actual bottleneck in most content production, not the filming.

What changes with Claude in the loop

I describe what I want changed, in plain English, the same way I'd brief an editor. Claude builds it, I watch it, and if something's off, I say so and it gets fixed, in the same sitting. No waiting for a revision to come back the next day.

• Captions timed to the exact word the twin is saying, not roughly synced
• Graphic cards and title cards that match my actual brand colours and fonts
• Background music mixed in at a level that sits under the voice, not over it
• Catching problems a normal watch-through would miss

That last one is worth explaining, because it's the clearest example of what this adds. While building the long-form video that's now on the Examples page, one word came out sounding slightly wrong, easy to notice, hard to explain why. Claude didn't just guess and re-render. It measured the actual audio, found a fraction-of-a-second timing drift that had built up gradually through the video, and fixed the real cause. Not a patch, the actual problem. That's a level of checking a normal edit pass doesn't do, because nobody has time to check that closely by ear alone.

Why this matters more than the twin itself

Anyone can get access to twin technology now. What separates a twin video that looks credible from one that doesn't is almost never the AI model, it's the craft in the edit: pacing, timing, consistency, catching the small things. That's traditionally been the expensive, slow part. Having an AI assistant that can do that work, and do it the same afternoon, changes what's realistic to produce regularly.

This isn't a productised service yet. It's how I build twin videos for myself and for clients right now, and I'm sharing it because it's genuinely changed what I think is possible to make in a week, not because there's a course to sell you.
