Will my digital twin look and sound like me?+
Yes — your twin reflects exactly how you come across on the day of filming, so a big part of my job is helping you find a natural, comfortable way to present before we start recording. Almost everyone feels some nerves walking in, which is completely normal, and coaching is built into every session for exactly that reason. If you talk like you're presenting, your twin sounds like that; if you talk like you're reading a story to your kids, that's what comes through instead — so we work together to find the tone that sounds like you. In most cases, it looks and sounds genuinely real. Occasionally a mannerism gets slightly exaggerated — an eye roll might roll a touch more than usual — but that's a small quirk, not something to worry about.
How long does filming take?+
Most sessions take two to three hours, depending on how many outfits or looks you want and how much coaching you need in front of the camera. Some people get comfortable quickly, others need more time — both are completely fine. I coach for as long as it takes to get a result you're happy with.
How much does it cost?+
Full pricing is on the Services & Pricing page. On top of the one-off creation cost, budget roughly NZD 100 a month ongoing — it's billed in USD so the exact number moves with the exchange rate — covering the two platform subscriptions you hold yourself.
Do I need to disclose I'm using an AI avatar?+
It depends on where you're using it. There's no general law in New Zealand requiring disclosure, and on your own website there's no requirement at all. Some platforms do require you to label AI-generated content under their own rules, so it's worth checking the specific platform you're posting to. Either way, I always recommend disclosing — a small title card at the start of the video, around five seconds, noting it's a digital twin. Skipping it entirely risks the trust people have in your business.
Who is a digital twin not a good fit for?+
If you're naturally excellent on camera and already have the time in your schedule to film content regularly, nailing a script in one take, you may not need a twin as much. That's a small group — most people don't get it right the first take and don't have the spare time, which is exactly the gap a digital twin fills.
Why work with you instead of building one myself or using an agency?+
You can build a digital twin yourself with tools like HeyGen, and for some people that's a fine starting point. But getting the lighting, angles and audio right takes a lot of trial and error — I've put thousands of hours into that already so you don't have to. I'm also a working photographer and videographer with a marketing background, which means more technical knowledge of lighting and colour than a typical agency, plus the strategy side. As far as I'm aware, I'm currently the only person in New Zealand creating digital twins specifically for individuals — the other digital twin work happening here is for advertising campaigns, not personal or professional use. If budget or distance means DIY is your only realistic option, go for it — just know there will be a quality difference.
